Today we installed the first section of a new backdrop to the Pizza Oven. After the old trellis was removed, some selective chainsawing of trees and hacking away of some iris flowers we were able to get this latest operation started.
The screens were gratefully donated by Adam Riley of Riley Ceilings. Originally a part of his balcony, they were removed to make way for new glass walls.
After about 5 hours of hard graft, some clever measuring and some fantastic problem solving we managed to fix the 100kg screens to the very crooked, un-level back fence.
It’s all starting to come together, slowly but surely. The next instalment will be block delivery and laying the first course of the oven base.
